‘Dear Diary’ in Gallery ‘Terra’, Kikinda

Exhibition ‘Dear Diary: A Year of Awareness’, presented at Gallery ‘Terra’ in Kikinda from 22nd May to 26th June 2024, is a comprehensive and long-term artistic project. A polyptych is a piece of art consisting of 366 paintings, each sized 24 x 30 cm. The dimensions of each painting symbolically represent time (24 hours in a day x 30 cm days in a month). The paintings were created over a period of 14 years, from 2006 to 2020.

Workshop organized as part of the exhibition “Dear Diary: A Year of Awareness” was a deeply immersive and therapeutic experience for participants. The workshop was inspired by the concept and working techniques of Maja Erdeljanin’s exhibition. It was guided by Milena Ćuk, a psychological and integrative art psychotherapist, who has aimed to delve into personal introspection and expression, much like Erdeljanin’s approach in her art. Ćuk guided participants through a structured and supportive process of self-exploration to visually and verbally process their experiences. The result of the workshop was collage-like, similar to the works of Maja Erdeljanin. Each participant created a page in their art journal composed of words, colors, selected images, and/or drawings.
